About Mike

I have been diving for nearly 50 years and started fishing when I could barely walk. I was a former competitive spearfisherman for over 15 years and for the last 18 years I have been shooting fish exclusively with a camera. I am extremely fortunate to have been able to turn my passion into my occupation.

My footage can be seen in the International Game Fishing Association Museum, as well as aquariums and universities around the country. Underwater scenes of sailfish, striped bass, fluke, bluefish, roosterfish and other game fish have been televised on such programs as: National Geographic -- Wild Chronicles and Strange Days on Planet Earth, Days of a Sportsman, Saltwater Sportsman, Walker’s Cay Chronicles, Out There, Fishing New England and a number of documentaries and PBS productions. My photographs and articles have appeared in: Field & Stream, Saltwater Sportsman, Gray’s Sporting Journal, The Redbone Journal, On The Water, Offshore, Center Console Angler and The Fisherman.

I have had the opportunity to travel extensively and have videotaped and filmed fish in Siberia, Costa Rica, Brazil, Panama, Bonaire, Puerto Rico, Bermuda, Midway Atoll, Japan, and in states from Maine to Alaska and Hawaii. I have fished and filmed living legends like Frank Mundus, Lefty Kreh, Dan Blanton, Stu Apt, Marsha Bierman, Ron Arra, Bob Rocchetta, and George Cochran.

As an active member of the Recreational Fishing Alliance’s advisory board and through my work for Save The Bay and Clean The Bay, I make every effort to improve our marine environment and protect our rights to fish.

I strive to produce DVDs that give anglers the edge of knowing how fish behave under all kinds of conditions. By combining revealing underwater footage with topwater tactics from the world’s best anglers, I truly hope to help you catch that fish of a lifetime.

Drop a hook on my site and set it up as one of your favorites. I’ll be constantly adding lots of free content: photo essays featuring tips and techniques, video clips, and wallpaper for your desktop. My blog will keep you up to date on interesting projects and fascinating fish facts from around the globe.

You can even join me on a fishing safari to one of the world’s greatest fishing and eco-touring destinations – Costa Rica.

I’m constantly doing seminars throughout the country and always enjoy talking to enthusiastic anglers of all ages and ability levels. Check out my seminar schedule and pay me a visit.

Seize the day. Go fishing!
